Sterling Silver and 18k Vermeil Plating

These more affordable options still feature responsibly-sourced, high quality materials.  Our 18k yellow gold vermeil has the look and feel of real gold, because it contains a very thick 3micron genuine gold plating over a sterling silver base.  (Flash plating on cheaper fashion jewelry is normally about 0.175microns of 10k gold plating over brass for reference--ours is 17x that, with 18k gold!)  To be called "vermeil" in the US, the plating needs to be a minimum of 2.5microns of at least 14k gold over sterling silver, so ours actually contains 34% more gold than required.  It may need to eventually be re-plated with regular use, but should last years before that's necessary.
